Mangosteen is a plant in southeast Asia. The mangosteen fruit is used in traditional medicine to treat infections, wounds, and diarrhea. Mangosteen is a source of powerful anti-oxidants known as Xanthones. Xanthones is a naturally occuring and biologically active polyphenols found in select tropical plants.
